Packet Pickup

Race Packet Pickup will take place at Whiteside Park (721 E. Sheridan)

Friday, September 25, 2019

12:00-10:00 PM

All packets not picked up on Friday will be available at the Bus Pickup area on Saturday morning.  Do not get on the bus without your bib!

The Northern Lights 5k Glow Run will begin at 7:00 PM on Friday, September 25. The start and finish will be at Whiteside Park.

5:30 Buses begin pickup at Whiteside Park/Ely High School

7:30 Start of Ely Marathon

8:00 Start of Boundary Waters Bank Half Marathon

8:45 Start of Dorothy Molter Root Beer Run

8-3:00 Race Expo and Food Trucks at Whiteside Park

8-3:00 Bounce House Extravaganza at Whiteside Park

10-3:00 JayCees Beer Tent at Whiteside Park

10-2:00 Rhino Rocks Whiteside Park

2:00 Awards Ceremony at Whiteside Park

Spectators Guide 

Absolutely no cars should be parked along the racecourse.  Cars parked on the racecourse will be towed at the owner's expense.

Sheridan and Chapman Streets will be cleared of all traffic from 8:30 AM-2:00 PM.

The Echo Trail, Grant McMahan, Old Winton Road and the Cloquet Line will have one-way traffic for necessary travel only!  Please drive with extreme caution!

The estimated time of the first half marathon finisher is approximately 9:10 AM.  The first full marathon finisher will be around approximately 9:30 AM.

Observation Points:

Intersection of Echo to Grant McMahan Blvd: Miles 11-12 of Ely Marathon/ Miles 2-3 of Half Marathon

Cars will have to take 169 West out of Ely and take a right onto Grant McMahan Blvd- no traffic will be allowed on racecourse.

Winton Main Street: Mile 18 of Ely Marathon/ Mile 5 of Half Marathon

Traffic will be allowed on 169 East of Ely

Miners Drive: Miles 23-24 of Ely Marathon/ Miles 10-11 of Half Marathon

Parking available at VCC and side streets

Whiteside Park/Finish Line:

Parking available at Ely Memorial High School and side streets
